What has changed in NEN 7510:2024?
In the new version you will find, among other things:
- Fewer control measures (101 instead of 117), but classified differently (organization, people, physical, technology).
- New requirements for the ISMS, such as explicitly stating whether or not you have included legal and contractual requirements.
- More healthcare-specific measures, including 14 additions and 8 completely new ones.
- Climate change as a risk factor (yes, that now plays a role too).
- And the biggest: a completely rewritten Annex A, with new measures such as configuration management and data deletion.
That means the following: your current documentation and approach probably need an update. We would of course like to help you with this.
Why are we offering a mapping?
We naturally don't want you to have to figure this all out yourself. Our mapping therefore shows at a glance:
- which old measures from NEN 7510:2017 have been incorporated into the updated standard;
- which measures are completely new in the 2024 version, including the healthcare-specific measures (HLT);
- what the new structure of Annex A is.
This is super handy when you're kicking off your transition, doing internal audits, or just need a reality check: how are we doing?
Bonus: you'll save time and avoid frustration!
This mapping helps you avoid doing the same work twice, lets you know exactly what you need to adjust, and helps you make informed choices. It's not just practical, it also prevents you from overlooking something in a standard that's a much better fit for your situation.
