New partnership: Fendix x InventIT for NIS2

Why is this partnership needed?
Since 15 August 2026, the Dutch Cybersecurity Act has been in force, the Dutch implementation of NIS2. The act requires you to map the risks to your network and information systems and to put appropriate measures in place. Some of those measures are organizational, such as agreements on who is responsible for what and how you report an incident. Others are technical, such as backups and monitoring.
Those two parts are often handled by different parties. The policy comes from an advisor, while the IT partner works with its own agreements. Everything can then look right on paper while your IT environment shows something else.
Who does what?
Fendix takes care of the organizational side. Our consultants work with you on the risk analysis and set out in policies and procedures what needs to happen. That risk analysis also shows which technical measures are needed. We discuss those with InventIT, so they know what needs to happen in your IT environment. You can read how such a project works on our page about implementing information security.
InventIT is an IT service provider from Twente that focuses on the technology behind information security, including Managed Detection & Response and backup. They set up the technical measures from the policy. The added value lies in aligning the two. If the policy states how often you test your backups, InventIT sets up the testing so that you can also demonstrate it.
What's in it for you?
You no longer have to act as the interpreter between your advisor and your IT partner. Fendix and InventIT coordinate with each other, so your policy and your IT environment tell the same story. That saves you duplicate work and hassle.
Don't have an IT partner for the technical side yet? Then we are happy to put you in touch with InventIT. If you already work with your own IT partner, we will coordinate with them. You can read how InventIT sees it in their blog about the partnership (in Dutch).
What is the next step?
With policy and technology aligned, you have more control over what the Cybersecurity Act asks of your organization. Want to know what that means for you? Then schedule a no-obligation introductory meeting, and together we will look at what is needed. Would you rather check where you stand yourself first? Then download the NIS2 checklist.
