As you probably know, the NEN 7510 has been updated. The update from 2017 to 2024 not only means a different year on your certificate, but above all: new control measures, a revised structure and some tools on how to approach all this smartly. That's why we've created something that really helps you: a mapping that shows razor-sharp what has changed.

What has changed in the NEN 7510:2024?

The new version includes:

  • Fewer control measures (101 instead of 117), but arranged differently (organization, people, physical, technology).
  • New requirements for the ISMS, such as making it explicit whether or not you have included legal and contractual requirements.
  • More care-specific measures, including 14 additions and 8 completely new ones.
  • Climate Change as a risk factor (yes, that also plays a role now).
  • And the biggest one: a completely rewritten Appendix A, including new measures such as configuration management and data deletion.

That means the following: your current documentation and approach is likely to need an update. Of course, we would love to help you with that.

Why do we offer mapping?

Of course, we don't want you to have to figure all this out for yourself. That is why our mapping shows at a glance:

  • which old measures from the NEN 7510:2017 have been incorporated into the renewed standard;
  • what measures be completely new in the 2024 version including care-specific measures (HLT);
  • what is the new structure of Annex A.

Useful before the start of your transition, any internal audits, or just as a reality check: how are we doing? With this mapping, you avoid duplication of work, you know exactly what to change, and you can make informed choices. This is not only practical, because it also prevents you from overlooking something in a standard that is much more in line with practice.
