A strong start

The week started with an inspiring speaker who could be followed via a live stream, so that both office employees and home workers could participate. Everyone received a virtual goodie bag with useful tools to get the week off to a good start. Later in the day, the first points were earned with a quiz specifically focused on cybersecurity within the VPN industry. This quiz not only tested knowledge, but also raised awareness about important topics such as data protection and privacy. In the afternoon, small teams started working on the first escape room sessions, where they were able to earn points through cyber puzzles.

Day 2: Deepening and 'gamification'

On the second day, interactive sessions were scheduled, divided into two levels of knowledge: beginner and expert. In virtual training rooms, employees were able to choose which session best suited their level of knowledge. “It was great to see everyone actively subscribing, even employees who normally have little involvement in IT-related topics,” said Watering CEO. The award of points for each session motivated everyone to participate and learn new skills, resulting in a high participation rate.

Day 3: Hacking Demo and Escape Room

The third day was a highlight with a live hacking demo. In three online sessions, an expert demonstrated how easy it can be to hack a network, even when using a VPN service. This was an eye opener for many employees and led to lively discussions about how GOOSE VPN can even better protect its customers against such threats. Meanwhile, the escape room sessions continued, so that everyone had the opportunity to participate and score points.

Day 4: Internal knowledge and applicable procedures

On the fourth day, an internal knowledge session was on the agenda, led by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) by GOOSE VPN. This session delved deeper into the company's internal security protocols and policies. Employees learned how to apply these guidelines in their daily work, both in the office and at home. Later in the day, there was a session about digital security in the private sphere, which discussed how employees can protect their data at home. “Cybersecurity doesn't stop when you leave our VPN network; it's something we should also take seriously in our private lives,” the CEO emphasized.

Day 5: Closing with impact

The Cybersecurity week ended festively with a drink, with the CEO giving a speech about the impact of the week. He discussed the results and thanked everyone for their efforts. “What this week has made clear is that cybersecurity is not just a responsibility of our IT department, but of all of us,” said Watering CEO. It evaluated how the week had gone and the positive impact it had had on awareness within the organization. After that, there was time to network and catch up in an informal atmosphere.
